United Women in Faith

The vision of United Women in Faith is to face the realities of this world, by not simply bearing witness that there is a problem, but showing God's love through acting boldly to make a positive difference in the world.

United Women in Faith provide additional financial and in person support to most of the volunteer initiatives listed under Outreach.
Additional initiatives include:
Metropolitan Congregations United
MCU motivates congregation members to put their faith into action by identifying and working on issues on three levels: beginning in their congregations and neighborhoods, then expanding efforts to their larger community, and finally culminating in conection with regional and statewide issues.  https://mcustlouis.org/
Epworth Drop-In Center
The Epworth Drop-In Center serves homeless and at-risk youth in the St. Louis area with a safe space and valuable resources.  United Women in Faith provide financial support as well as meal preparation by volunteers who do not ask to be reimbursed.  https://www.epworth.org/services/epworth-drop-in-center/
Leslie Bates Davis Neighborhood House
Leslie Bates Davis Neighborhood House is a multi-purpose, faith-based community center in relationship with the United Methodist Church. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to move out of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency. Programs include early childhood education and support, employment and job training assistance, senior and emergency services. https://lessiebatesdavis.org/

Village of Grace

Village of Grace is a progressive Christian community that meets weekly on Thursdays at 7:30pm. We join together for a casual worship service with communion on the first Thursday of each month and hold group study gatherings the following Thursdays.
Each week, we dedicate time to community, connection, and prayer requests.

Quilting Group

Meeting weekly on Tuesday mornings, this group creates beautiful quilts to be sold at the Harvesting Hope for Mission dinner and auction  each year to raise funds for missions. Don’t know how to quilt?  These quilters will teach you!

Prayer Group

Our prayer group meets monthly to offer up prayer requests received from our congregation, website and the weekly connection cards offered in worship.

Prayer Request or Care Concern

Choir

Share your musical talents through singing and/or playing an instrument. The outstanding acoustics in our sanctuary make music the heart of worship.

Volunteers are always welcome to sing in our Chancel Choir. Practice is held in the Music Room on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, led by our Director of Music Lamar Fitzgerald.

Care Team

The Care Team provides emotional and spiritual support by offering a listening ear, engaging in prayer, and providing encouragement.  Acts of care include writing notes and preparing meals to be delivered to those who need a little love and visiting church members at home or in the hospital.

Maintenance & Landscaping

Tuesday Crew volunteers perform interior and exterior maintenance projects on Tuesday mornings; coffee and donuts are included to sweeten the deal. Bring your own toolbox.
Gardeners are welcome to bring their green thumbs to the church grounds and flowerbeds.
